Dana Lürken ist eine zeitgenössische Konzeptkünstlerin und Bildhauerin aus München. Ihr Werk umfasst vor allem ortsspezifische Installationen, aber auch Video, Fotografie und Performance. In ihren Arbeiten beschäftigt sie sich mal auf humorvolle, mal auf hintersinnige Weise mit gesellschaftskritischen Themen wie sozialer Ungerechtigkeit oder Ressourcenmissbrauch. Oft macht sie aber auch das Künstlerdasein selbst und die Vermarktungsstrategien des Kunstmarkts zum Thema. Dana Lürken is a contemporary conceptual artist and sculptor from Munich. Her work primarily comprises site-specific installations, but also includes video, photography and performance. In her works, she deals with socio-critical themes such as social injustice or the misuse of resources, sometimes in a humorous, sometimes in a subtle way. She also often focuses on being an artist and the marketing strategies of the art market. Proximity to the audience is important to her, and participation is often even desired.
